Installation Guide
Get Kynetik POS up and running in under 10 minutes.
Before You Start
Make sure you have:
- An active BigCommerce store (any plan)
- An iPhone (iOS 15+) or Android device (Android 10+)
- Store owner or admin access to BigCommerce
Install the BigCommerce App
Coming SoonBeta Note: The BigCommerce Marketplace app is currently in review. For now, you can explore Kynetik using Demo Mode in the Android app—no BigCommerce connection required.
Once approved, you'll install Kynetik from the BigCommerce App Marketplace to connect your store and create a dedicated POS sales channel.

Download the Mobile App
Install the Kynetik POS app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. The app is currently in beta testing.

Join WaitlistPair Your Device
Connect your mobile device to your BigCommerce store:
- Open the Kynetik app in BigCommerce (Apps → Kynetik)
- Go to Devices and click Add Device
- A QR code will appear on screen
- Open the Kynetik POS app on your phone/tablet
- Tap Scan to Connect and scan the QR code
- Your device is now paired and will sync your products
Tip: Initial product sync may take 1-2 minutes for large catalogs. You'll see a progress indicator.
Add Your Staff
Add staff members who will use the POS:
- In the Kynetik admin panel, go to Staff
- Click Add Staff and enter their name and email
- Assign a role: Cashier, Supervisor, or Manager
- Assign them to specific locations (or all locations for managers)
How staff login works:
- PIN login — Fast 4-digit PIN for daily use
- Face ID / Touch ID — Quick re-authentication
- Email code — Fallback if PIN is forgotten
No passwords to remember. Staff set their PIN on first login.
Connect Payment Hardware (Optional)
To accept card payments, you'll need to set up Stripe:
- In Kynetik admin, go to Settings → Payments
- Click Connect Stripe and complete the onboarding
- For Tap to Pay: No additional hardware needed (iPhone XS+ or Android with NFC)
- For Card Readers: Pair a Stripe Terminal reader (WisePOS E, S700, etc.)
Cash payments work immediately without any payment setup.
